1. Who we are

Werkenn helps Class 10 students in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh study calmly and choose their next step. This policy explains what personal data we collect on our website and in the Werkenn app, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the DPDP Act) and the rules made under it.

2. What we collect

• Account details: your name, class, board and preferred language, and a phone number or email address to sign in.
• A parent's or guardian's details: their name and phone number or email, so they can give consent for you.
• What you tell us during onboarding: how your subjects feel, what you enjoy, what matters to you, and anything on your mind about choosing a group.
• How you study: plans you finish, worksheet and test answers, scores and time spent. This is how Werkenn learns your strengths.
• Messages: what you type or say to Kenn, and anything you send our team.
• Basic technical data: your device and browser type, IP address and error logs, which keep Werkenn working and secure.
• From schools and partners: the contact person's name, role, email and phone number, and details about the institution.

3. How we use it

• To build your daily plan, notes, practice and tests around your syllabus.
• To show your strengths and which groups fit you, with their paths and predicted ROI.
• To answer your questions, through Kenn and our team.
• To keep Werkenn safe, including stopping misuse of the chat.
• To fix problems and improve Werkenn. Where we can, we use combined data that doesn't identify you.
• To send messages about your account, and reminders you turn on.

We never use your data for advertising, never build advertising profiles, and never sell or rent it to anyone.

4. Students under 18

Most people who use Werkenn are under 18, and the DPDP Act treats them as children. Before a student under 18 starts using Werkenn, we ask a parent or lawful guardian for verifiable consent. After that:

• We don't show students ads or target them with advertising.
• We use a student's study activity only to support their own learning and guidance.
• A parent or guardian can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete the student's data, or withdraw their consent.

5. Who we share it with

• Service providers who host and run Werkenn for us, such as cloud hosting, email and SMS delivery, and speech-to-text. Their contracts let them use the data only to provide that service to us.
• Your school, only if you joined Werkenn through your school. Your teachers can then see your progress so they can support you.
• Authorities, only when the law requires it or to protect someone's safety.

That's all. We don't share personal data with advertisers or data brokers.

6. Voice input

When you speak to Kenn, your browser's built-in speech service turns your voice into text. In some browsers, such as Google Chrome, this happens on the browser maker's servers. Werkenn receives only the text, not the recording.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except records the law requires us to keep for longer, such as security logs. Messages to our team are kept only as long as we need them to help you.

8. How we protect it

Your data travels encrypted (HTTPS). Only the people who need it to run Werkenn can access it, and that access is logged. If a data breach ever affects you, we'll tell you and the Data Protection Board of India without delay.

9. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act, you can:

• Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
• Correct or update it.
• Ask us to delete it.
• Withdraw your consent at any time. It's as easy as giving it, though some features may stop working.
• Nominate someone to use these rights for you if you're ever unable to.
• Complain to us and, if you're not satisfied with our answer, to the Data Protection Board of India.

To use any of these rights, write to the address below. We may ask a few questions to confirm it's you. Parents and guardians can do this for students under 18.

10. Cookies

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Our cookie policy lists the few things we store in your browser.

11. Changes to this policy

If we make an important change, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when this policy last changed.

12. Contact and complaints

For questions, requests or complaints about your personal data, write to our Grievance Officer at privacy@werkenn.com. We'll confirm we've received your message within 48 hours and resolve it within 30 days.

Werkenn వాడేవాళ్లలో చాలామంది 18 ఏళ్ల లోపు వాళ్లే. DPDP చట్టం వీళ్లను పిల్లలుగా పరిగణిస్తుంది. 18 ఏళ్ల లోపు విద్యార్థి Werkenn వాడటం మొదలుపెట్టే ముందు, తల్లిదండ్రులు లేదా చట్టబద్ధమైన సంరక్షకుల నుంచి ధృవీకరించగలిగే అనుమతి తీసుకుంటాం. ఆ తర్వాత:

• విద్యార్థులకు యాడ్స్ చూపించం, వాళ్లను లక్ష్యంగా చేసుకుని ప్రకటనలు ఇవ్వం.
• విద్యార్థి చదువు వివరాలను వాళ్ల సొంత చదువు, గైడెన్స్ కోసం మాత్రమే వాడతాం.
• తల్లిదండ్రులు లేదా సంరక్షకులు విద్యార్థి డేటాను చూపించమని, సరిచేయమని, తొలగించమని ఎప్పుడైనా అడగొచ్చు, ఇచ్చిన అనుమతిని వెనక్కి తీసుకోవచ్చు.

5. ఎవరితో పంచుకుంటాం

• సర్వీస్ ప్రొవైడర్లు: మా తరఫున Werkenn ని నడిపేవాళ్లు, ఉదాహరణకు క్లౌడ్ హోస్టింగ్, ఈమెయిల్, SMS పంపడం, మాటను టెక్స్ట్ గా మార్చడం. ఒప్పందం ప్రకారం, మాకు ఆ సేవ అందించడానికి మాత్రమే వాళ్లు డేటాను వాడాలి.
• మీ స్కూల్: మీరు మీ స్కూల్ ద్వారా Werkenn లో చేరితేనే. అప్పుడు మీకు సాయం చేయడానికి మీ టీచర్లు మీ ప్రోగ్రెస్ చూడగలరు.

6. మాట్లాడి అడిగినప్పుడు

7. ఎంత కాలం ఉంచుతాం

మీ అకౌంట్ ఉన్నంత కాలం మీ డేటాను ఉంచుతాం. మీరు అకౌంట్ తొలగిస్తే, 30 రోజుల్లో మీ వ్యక్తిగత డేటాను తొలగిస్తాం. సెక్యూరిటీ లాగ్స్ లాంటి కొన్ని రికార్డులను మాత్రం చట్టం చెప్పినంత కాలం ఉంచుతాం. మా టీమ్ కి మీరు పంపిన మెసేజ్ లను మీకు సాయం చేయడానికి అవసరమైనంత కాలమే ఉంచుతాం.

8. ఎలా కాపాడతాం

మీ డేటా ఎన్ క్రిప్ట్ అయి (HTTPS) ప్రయాణిస్తుంది. Werkenn ని నడపడానికి అవసరమైన వాళ్లు మాత్రమే దాన్ని చూడగలరు, ఎవరు చూశారో రికార్డు అవుతుంది. ఎప్పుడైనా డేటా లీక్ అయి అది మీ మీద ప్రభావం చూపితే, మీకూ, భారత డేటా ప్రొటెక్షన్ బోర్డుకూ ఆలస్యం లేకుండా తెలియజేస్తాం.

9. మీ హక్కులు

DPDP చట్టం ప్రకారం మీరు:

• మా దగ్గర ఉన్న మీ వ్యక్తిగత డేటా సారాంశాన్ని, దాన్ని ఎలా వాడుతున్నామో అడగొచ్చు.
• దాన్ని సరిచేయొచ్చు లేదా అప్ డేట్ చేయొచ్చు.
• దాన్ని తొలగించమని అడగొచ్చు.
• ఇచ్చిన అనుమతిని ఎప్పుడైనా వెనక్కి తీసుకోవచ్చు. ఇవ్వడం ఎంత తేలికో, వెనక్కి తీసుకోవడమూ అంతే తేలిక. అయితే కొన్ని ఫీచర్లు పనిచేయడం ఆగిపోవచ్చు.

1. Agreeing to these terms

These terms apply whenever you use werkenn.com or the Werkenn app. By using Werkenn, you agree to them. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must accept them for you and help you use Werkenn well.

2. What Werkenn is, and what it isn't

Werkenn gives you daily study plans, notes, practice and tests, and guidance on Intermediate groups and the paths that follow. It's there to support you, not to replace your school, your teachers or professional counselling.

Group suggestions, roadmaps and predicted ROI are estimates to help you compare options. They aren't promises about marks, admissions, jobs or income. The final choice is always yours and your family's.

3. Your account

• Give true details, and keep them up to date.
• Keep your login private, and don't share your account.
• Tell us straight away if you think someone else is using it.
• If your school gave you access, your school's agreement with Werkenn also applies, and your teachers can see your progress.

4. Using Werkenn fairly

Please don't:

• Use Werkenn to cheat in exams or tests.
• Post anything unlawful, hateful, sexual or hurtful, or bully anyone.
• Pretend to be someone else.
• Copy, resell or scrape our content, or try to break, overload or reverse-engineer Werkenn.
• Try to trick Kenn into ignoring its rules.

5. Kenn and AI features

Kenn answers questions about Werkenn, your Class 10 plan and choosing a group, and nothing else. AI answers can be wrong, so check anything important with your textbook or teacher. Please don't share private details such as passwords or your home address in the chat.

Misusing the chat, such as abusing others or trying to make Kenn break its rules, earns a warning. After three warnings, the chat is suspended for 24 hours. Serious or repeated misuse can lead to your account being suspended or closed.

If you're going through something hard, Kenn will point you to Tele-MANAS (14416), a free government helpline. Reaching out like that never counts as misuse.

6. Content

Werkenn's notes, worksheets, tests and designs, and the Werkenn name and logo, belong to Werkenn or to those who license them to us. You may use them for your own study, but not to sell or republish them. Outside material, such as textbooks and exam papers, belongs to its owners.

What you create, such as your notes, answers and messages, stays yours. You allow us to store and use it only to run Werkenn for you.

7. Free and paid plans

Getting started is free: onboarding, the skill test and your first stream report. If you choose a paid plan, you'll see the price, what's included and how renewal works before you pay. Payments are handled by a secure payment partner, and we don't store your card details.

You can cancel a paid plan at any time and keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. If you're charged by mistake, for example twice for the same plan, write to us and we'll refund it.

8. Suspension and closing your account

You can stop using Werkenn and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk. Unless the law or someone's safety prevents it, we'll tell you why.

9. Our responsibility

We work hard to keep Werkenn accurate, safe and available, but we can't promise it will always be free of errors or interruptions. As far as the law allows, Werkenn isn't responsible for indirect losses, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem. Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under Indian consumer protection law.

10. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. If you keep using Werkenn after that, the new terms apply.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If something goes wrong, please write to us first. Most problems can be solved quickly.

12. Contact

4. Werkenn ని సరిగ్గా వాడటం

5. Kenn, AI ఫీచర్లు

6. కంటెంట్

మీరు తయారు చేసేవి, అంటే మీ నోట్స్, జవాబులు, మెసేజ్ లు, మీవే. Werkenn ని మీ కోసం నడపడానికి మాత్రమే వాటిని దాచడానికి, వాడటానికి మీరు మాకు అనుమతి ఇస్తున్నారు.

8. సస్పెన్షన్, అకౌంట్ మూసేయడం

మీరు ఎప్పుడైనా Werkenn వాడటం ఆపేయొచ్చు, మీ అకౌంట్ తొలగించొచ్చు. ఈ నిబంధనలు ఉల్లంఘించిన, లేదా ఇతరులకు ప్రమాదం కలిగించే అకౌంట్ ని మేము సస్పెండ్ చేయొచ్చు లేదా మూసేయొచ్చు. చట్టం గానీ, ఎవరిదైనా భద్రత గానీ అడ్డు రాకపోతే, కారణం మీకు చెబుతాం.

9. మా బాధ్యత

Werkenn ని ఖచ్చితంగా, భద్రంగా, ఎప్పుడూ అందుబాటులో ఉంచడానికి కష్టపడతాం. కానీ అందులో ఎప్పుడూ తప్పులు గానీ, అంతరాయాలు గానీ ఉండవని హామీ ఇవ్వలేం. చట్టం అనుమతించినంత వరకు, పరోక్ష నష్టాలకు Werkenn బాధ్యత వహించదు. సమస్యకు ముందు 12 నెలల్లో మీరు మాకు కట్టిన మొత్తానికి మించి మా బాధ్యత ఉండదు. భారత వినియోగదారుల రక్షణ చట్టం కింద మీకు ఉన్న హక్కులను ఈ నిబంధనలు ఏ విధంగానూ తగ్గించవు.

10. ఈ నిబంధనల్లో మార్పులు

ఈ నిబంధనల్లో ముఖ్యమైన మార్పు చేస్తే, అది అమల్లోకి రాకముందే యాప్ లో లేదా ఈమెయిల్ ద్వారా చెబుతాం. ఆ తర్వాత కూడా Werkenn వాడితే, కొత్త నిబంధనలు వర్తిస్తాయి.

11. చట్టం, వివాదాలు

ఈ నిబంధనలకు భారత చట్టాలు వర్తిస్తాయి. ఏదైనా సమస్య వస్తే, దయచేసి ముందు మాకు రాయండి. చాలా సమస్యలు త్వరగానే పరిష్కారమవుతాయి.

1. What cookies and local storage are

Cookies and local storage let a website keep small pieces of information in your browser, such as whether you're signed in.

2. What we store

• Sign-in (cookie, essential): keeps you signed in to the Werkenn app. It's removed when you sign out, or after a period without use.
• Chat warnings (kennStrikes, local storage, essential): counts warnings for breaking the chat rules. It's kept until a suspension resets it, or until you clear it.
• Chat suspension (kennBanUntil, local storage, essential): remembers a 24-hour chat suspension after repeated misuse. It ends after 24 hours.

3. What we don't use

• No advertising or marketing cookies.
• No social media pixels. Our Instagram, LinkedIn and X links are plain links, and those sites can set cookies only if you visit them.
• No analytics cookies today. If we ever add analytics, we'll update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

4. Fonts

Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts. To send the font files, Google receives your IP address and browser details, as any website you visit does. Google Fonts doesn't set cookies.

5. Your choices

You can see and clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings. If you block the essential ones, signing in or the Kenn chat may not work properly.

3. మేము వాడనివి

• సోషల్ మీడియా పిక్సెల్స్ వాడం. మా Instagram, LinkedIn, X లింకులు మామూలు లింకులే. మీరు ఆ సైట్లకు వెళ్తేనే అవి కుకీలు పెట్టగలవు.
• ప్రస్తుతం అనలిటిక్స్ కుకీలు వాడటం లేదు. ఎప్పుడైనా అనలిటిక్స్ జోడిస్తే, ముందుగా ఈ పేజీని అప్ డేట్ చేస్తాం, చట్టం కోరిన చోట మీ అనుమతి అడుగుతాం.

4. ఫాంట్లు

మా పేజీలు Google Fonts నుంచి ఫాంట్లను లోడ్ చేస్తాయి. ఫాంట్ ఫైళ్లు పంపడానికి, మీరు వెళ్లే ఏ వెబ్ సైట్ లాగానే, Google కి మీ IP అడ్రస్, బ్రౌజర్ వివరాలు అందుతాయి. Google Fonts కుకీలు పెట్టదు.

5. మీ ఎంపికలు

మీ బ్రౌజర్ సెట్టింగ్స్ లో కుకీలు, లోకల్ స్టోరేజ్ చూడొచ్చు, తొలగించొచ్చు. తప్పనిసరి వాటిని బ్లాక్ చేస్తే, లాగిన్ గానీ Kenn చాట్ గానీ సరిగ్గా పనిచేయకపోవచ్చు.
